Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary is searching for the Cutest Pet in North Georgia in the our second annual Cutest Pet Photo Contest.
We're giving away
cash prizes and the chance for you and your cute pet to ‘star' in the Dahlonega 2023 Christmas parade.
Entering is easy. Go to
Participate, select your pet's category - Dog (Dogs only), Cat (Cats only), Creature Great & Small (other qualified pets) or Angel Pet (departed pets.) Then upload your pet's picture and write a short description.
Entry fee is $5 and includes 5 votes; votes are just $1 each.
Money raised by the contest goes to the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation, a 501 3(C) non-profit and
TLC Humane Society, a no-kill shelter in Lumpkin County.
Category winners and a runners-up will be determined by the pets with the most votes cast as of 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

- Best of Show – Overall highest vote getter will be named Best of Show and receive:
- $350.00 cash prize
- Invitation to participate in the Dahlonega Christmas parade as part of the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary's presence in the parade. (Parade appearance available only to pets in the living pet categories.)

- Second and third place overall winners will each receive a $50.00 Gift Card to Tom's Awesome Seafood
- First place in each category – Cutest Cat, Cutest Dog, Cutest Creature Great & Small – receives a framed certificate

Dahlonega Sunrise RotaryVoted the Best Service Club in Dahlonega for four years in a row, the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club is part of Rotary International.
The men and women of Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club work on service projects ranging from volunteering at the Community Helping Place food bank to working the ‘chain gang' at the high school football game.
The Club also sponsors a number of fundraising projects for the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation, a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization. In recent years, the Foundation provided funding for the county's splash pad, a study room at Lumpkin County Library and a new kitchen at the Community Helping Place.
The Club's Foundation also sponsors student scholarships and awards, recognizes the County Employees of the Year, and donates funds to over 20 organizations including CASA, Lumpkin Literacy, CHP, Jeremiah's Place, and Lumpkin Library .
TLC Humane SocietyTLC Humane Society, legally recognized as Dahlonega - Lumpkin County Humane Society, was founded in 1977 and is Dahlonega's only no-kill shelter. TLC is a licensed non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue organization and has both dogs and cats available for adoption.
The shelter sits on 5.87 acres of beautiful property which includes 3 dog parks, walking trails, a small block house with 2 cat rooms, a kitten room, quarantine and isolation rooms, plus The Ruff House with 6 dog runs and the 12 dog run Carver Canine Castle for large dogs.
