Pet's Story
What to say about Jerry? His ancestors turned up on our front porch a couple of years ago. They were not wanted and many of them saw the business end of a can of Raid. Jerry turned up this year in our Hydrangea bush and he was so handsome we could not squash him. We have watched him for several months. He sits there so patiently and has captured thousands of biting insects in his web. We thought we had lost him a few days ago in the freezing temps as he went all 'floppy' and half fell out of his web but the sun came up and so did Jerry....yay! Admittedly he doesn't have long to live as colder weather is coming but we will enjoy watching him until it is time for him to cross the rainbow bridge to wherever dead spiders go.

Why my pet should win
Jerry's last and only wish is to ride in the Dahlonega Christmas Parade. I'll be frank here though, he's probably not going to make it till Christmas so he will have to attend posthumously in a little box.
Jerry has had to deal with a lot of bad press in the past but he's actually a pretty cool little spider . Please vote for Jerry!
