The 2025 calendar will focus on the theme Live & Love Huskies and Northern breeds and the inseparable bond they have with their hooomans. Master Wolf of Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. believes that rescuing and caring for rescue dogs can be the most transformative experience of a lifetime. The vulnerable interaction breaks the vicious cycle of a past history of abuse and neglect and brings rejuvenation, reinvigoration and regained quality of life. When a Husky or Northern breed is feeling relieved from distress and grief, there is a calming inner peace. Once trust is established through love and hands on affection there is a sense of ease which helps Huskies, Northern breeds and owners alike deal with every day minor stress, physical and emotional discomforts. The enduring experienced between a Husky and a Northern breed and their human is the utmost form of happiness on earth. Everyone has a story or two about how they Live & Love Huskies and Northern breeds to tell. Your story is IMPORTANT. It has MEANING. We want to read about them and learn about them and see beautiful photos of your fluffy butts. We are HOPING that after the stories are read and shared by viewers for during the contest and while participants share your stories and place $1 bids for the dogs that they love, everyone who reads them and sees their accompanying photos will be delighted while we continue to take care of animals and help others in need.

The funds raised from this year's Calendar Contest will help pay down outstanding veterinary bills and benefit future rescue dogs.

From January 1, 2024 - August 24 2024, we have been focued on taking care of living with and loving the huskies in addition to ongoing rescue work and rescue missions. The founders of Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. went ahead and used their own personal funds to begin the development of vacant land that they purchased in 2019 located in Warner Springs, North San Diego, California, to build a special Sanctuary for Huskies and Northern breed dogs so that they can Live & Love the rescued huskies better. Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. also received 10 huskies who had been living alone in the home of their deceased owner for 14 months, with 2 short daily visits up to one hour each by caregivers. 3 of the dogs were originally adopted to the owner by Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. They are a deeply bonded family and look after one another. Those 10 huskies will continue to live together for the rest of their lives and have become the heart and soul of Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. We are celebrating them this year and you will see more of their faces in the weeks to come. We also have done a lot of behind-the-scenes work, including taking on dogs from abusive situations. We currently have two huskies in the sanctuary originating as Court case abusive situations.

We are moving forward with our plans to expand our rescue and be able to welcome huskies into the pack in the future. In California, it is not easy and there is a lot of red tape, but we are forging forward. Whenever there is a Will there is a Way! We remain dedicated and committed to rescuing huskies that are displaced, unwanted, abused, lost, abandoned or scheduled for euthanasia and provide them with a second chance at life by finding them permanent homes. We really need and count on all of our supporters to help us find loving temporary and permanent homes for them! 

This calendar contest is always our biggest fundraiser of the year and we hope to earn enough money to pay off our medical debts that we currently have on both the Shadow Husky Rescue credit card and the Care Credit card dedicated to the huskies and northern breeds we take care of.
