Live & Love Huskies or Northern Breeds Story
Our first CA dog was a strong, laser focused, protector, easy to train and obedient. It was heartbreaking losing him. We had him 18 years. I got online not to find a new dog, but just to find a picture of a similar dog to bring me comfort in my loss. Instead, I found this picture of a dog whose eyes sparkled with such joy simply because she was seatbelted in the backseat of a car. We soon applied for adoption. Once we did the meet and greet, we realized this dog didn't just have beautiful eyes, but she was one gorgeous creature. Her elderly owner died when Lily was ten. That's when our Lily fell into the hands of her children who let her starve, but a good samaritan couple who lived next-door fell in love with her. Lily loved them, but they had no money to feed a third dog. They put Lily online.
That's when we adopted her. She was so grateful. She ran like the wind, she leaped over our furniture, and she did zoomies from one end of the house to the other. She did this little dance back and forth and when we weren't looking she'd sneak into the bedroom and jump on the bed. She was a phenomenon. She couldn't be more different than our last dog, not just because she was a petite female, but Lily was a "husky!"
