Miss Lily was our first adoption through Shadow Husky Rescue ~ the week of Thanksgiving 2022. Best Thanksgiving holiday ever ❤️!!

I happened to see Miss Lily’s video post of Tim’s within the first hour it was posted, and fell in love immediately! This blind senior touched my heart, and my husband’s heart, right away. No question, this was a girl we were destined to adopt.

We adore special needs babies….we had a tripod cat for 17 yrs., and that just opened the door for other special needs babies to join our family. We began to gravitate toward them. We currently have a red tripod Husky, another tripod kitty, and we previously had a blind/diabetic Aussie, who was my ❤️ dog, for 11 yrs., that we lost a few years ago. Miss Lily was absolutely the perfect choice, in our eyes, to join our crazy pack 😉!!

She took a cross country trip to the Smoky Mountains of East TN, through volunteer rescue transport, and has fit into this household like she’s always lived here. She’s now 11 yrs old and we’re hoping this healthy girl will give us a few more years to spoil her silly! She adores sleeping on the sofa with Mama, or in her Papa’s chair….and always manages to innocently sweet talk one of us out of the last bite of a sandwich or the last french fry 😝!!! Our most satisfying adoption to date….we wish we’d known her before her beautiful blue eyes went dark…
