will win a spot to represent a month on the calendar with a professional photo of your pet, compliments of Pet Project by Jess!
Your $20 entry guarantees that your pet will be included on a collage page in the calendar AND you will receive a copy of the Nevada SPCA 2025 Calendar (available for pick-up at the shelter).
Winners with the most votes in each category (top 5 dogs, top 5 cats, top 2 small pets) will receive a mini professional photo session. The photo from this session will be used in the 2025 calendar.
Photo entries may be submitted beginning on Monday, June 3, 2024, through 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Online voting begins at 12:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Monday, June 17, 2024.
Each vote is $1 and proceeds will help us provide care for homeless animals at Nevada SPCA.

Category Winners

with the most votes in each category will be featured as our Pet of the Month.
Each winner will receive a custom, mini professional pet photo shoot courtesy of Pet Project by Jess. Photos from this photoshoot will be used in the 2025 Nevada SPCA Calendar. Winners will also receive an exclusive Vodka for Dog People Walk-Pack and Tito's Walk & Sip YETI Rambler Lowball. Additional Prizes
All other submissions will be featured on a collage page in the calendar and will receive a complimentary copy of the calendar
(available for pick-up only, entrants will be notified via email).
- Only photos of dogs, cats, and small pets (rabbit, guinea pig, or rats) are eligible.
- Please no tribute entries; pet must be available to participate in photoshoot (and cannot be deceased).
- Winners must be available to transport their pet to Nevada SPCA for photoshoot which will be scheduled July 22-24, 2024.
- Winners must have handleable pets who will be comfortable (and leashed) in a public setting during the photoshoot.
- ONE pet per entry/per photo.
- If more than ONE pet appears in the photo, your submission will be emailed back to you with a request to resubmit a photo featuring ONLY ONE pet in the photo.
- People are not allowed in your photo, only the pet.
- Your pet does not have to be adopted from Nevada SPCA to enter.
- Please submit photos with the highest resolution. The better the photo the better your pet will appear in the calendar collage.
- If your photo is not high enough quality, you will receive an email request to submit an alternative photo with high resolution.
- We cannot accept physical Polaroids, heavily edited photos, photos with stickers, text, filters, doodles, or any photos containing logos, or copyrighted images/information.
- Once you submit your entry, the photo becomes property of Nevada SPCA and may be used for print and marketing purposes.
- Nevada SPCA reserves the right to select the final image from the photoshoot that will be used in the calendar.
- Selection of the month that pet will represent in the calendar will be at the discretion of Nevada SPCA.
- All photo entries must be submitted by June 14, 2024, at 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time).
- Your entry automatically makes you eligible to receive special email offers from Pet Portraits by Jess. You may choose to unsubscribe at any time.
Voting:
- Online voting begins at 12:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Monday, June 17, 2024 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, June 28, 2024.
- The precise time that online voting ends will be solely dependent on the host website's server.
- Name and email address that you submit votes under will be how your name will appear on your donation acknowledgement receipt.
How much is the entry fee?
The entry fee is $20. This fee includes one copy of the full-color calendar which will be
available for pick-up only at Nevada SPCA shelter. Additional calendars may also be purchased in the shelter or online (with S&H fee).
You can make an additional donation during the entry process with each dollar counting as one vote.
All proceeds from contest entries will help us provide care for homeless animals at Nevada SPCA.

How many votes do I need to have my pet featured as a Pet of the Month?
The top 5 dogs, top 5 cats, and top 2 small pets (bunny, guinea pig, or rat) with the most votes in each category by the end of the voting period, will be featured as our Pet of the Month. The photo from the professional photo shoot will be the image used in the calendar.
All other submissions will be featured on a collage page in the calendar.
All proceeds from votes will help provide care for homeless animals at Nevada SPCA.
How do I vote for a pet's picture?
Votes are $1 each. Yes, you can vote for your own pet's photo (and as many times as you, your friends, and family want!).
There is a social media link so that you can share your pet on your personal social media pages and encourage your friends and family to vote!
