Three cats and three dogs will be perPETually honored on the ACSKC Gallery Wall with a professional artist rendering of the cutest, cuddliest and silliest pets … receiving the most votes in each of the two categories. Only cats and dogs are eligible.

Entering your furry loved in the “Petparazzi Challenge” requires only a $5.00 tax-deductible, non-refundable donation to our 501-c3 organization. Registration begins August 28th and ends September 15th. Follow the photo submission requirements. Click here for the rules.

How it Works
Artist portraits of the three top-canines and three top-felines will be displayed for one full year on the ACSKC Gallery Wall, located within the SFW Foundation Hospitality Center (our main lobby!) After the year, all pet portraits will be gifted to the winning pet families! The challenge is limited to cats and dogs only.
STEP ONE: Enter Your Fur Baby to Win!
- Sign In/Sign Up (top right tab)
- $5.00 tax deductible donation for each pet registration (or more if you can)
- Receipts will be emailed to you confirming registration and donation
- Enter the Challenge between 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 and 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 15, 2024
STEP TWO: Be Creative and Send Us A Photo
- By submitting a photo, you acknowledge and give permission for ACSKC to use the name, story and photo of the animal in all future publications, including but not limited to the “2024 Petparazzi Challenge”
- High resolution digital photos in 4-color only, landscape (horizontal) format preferred
- No people, overlays, photo stickers, doodles or digital effects
- Photos may contain more than one pet
- Of course, enter your pet photo in the correct category
STEP THREE: Get Everyone To Vote Early and Vote Often!

- Voting begins at 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, September 16, 2024 and ends at 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, October 6, 2024
- To vote on-line, click the “participate” tab above
- Each vote is a $1 non-refundable tax-deductible donation. A minimum of 5 votes per transaction ($5) is required
- Votes placed for each furry loved one will be calculated and displayed in real time.
- The email acknowledgement reply to your online donation is your tax receipt
Animal Care Shelter for Kent County (ACSKC), formerly known as The Humane Society of Kent County, is the only animal rescue and care shelter within the community.
In 2023, ACSKS opened the doors to its’ highly acclaimed new facility focusing on the health, safety and care of almost 1000 animals a year. An on-site medical facility provides immediate care for the animals we shelter until they find a fur-ever home or return to a volunteer supervised colony.
In 2024, ACSKC has assumed responsibility for Really Great Cats Rescue (RGCR) after serving Kent County for over 25 years.
It costs ACSKC over $1,000,000 a year to operate. The Commissioners of Kent County provide about $320,000 a year in tax dollars toward our budget. The remaining funds come from people like you and through fundraising events like the 2024 Petparazzi Challenge!
