A little about me...
I was visiting my friends’ farm in Texas eight years ago when this scrawny, filthy, flea-ridden pup wandered up to us, smiled, and “rolo’d” over on his back for a belly rub. Oh no, my friends said, another stray/abandoned dog — unfortunately very common out there — he will end up joining a pack of strays that menace farm animals, or killed by a coyote or a car. They already had four dogs and couldn’t take another. I was leaving that day to drive home so I offered to take him to a local shelter, but one shelter wouldn’t take him and the other was closed. Well, that was it, I took him to my friends vet and determined he had no chip, got some flea meds, bought a towel for the passenger seat, and he made the three day drive home with me. We had some growing pains when he met my other dogs, but now I can’t imagine life without him. He loves tennis balls, the beach, running, the sun, and more than anything, his people.
