New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare (NFSAW) is sponsoring a pet-themed 2024 calendar contest, the proceeds from which will support our rescue efforts – as well as celebrate contestants' animals! The contest is open to everyone; your photo entry does not have to be of a pet adopted from NFSAW – we love them all!

• There is a $10 fee for entering your pet into the contest.
• Each vote will be $1. Each $1 donation counts as one vote for that photo. All donations will be used to help us provide food, shelter and veterinary care for our furry friends until they are adopted! You may vote as often as you like.

1. Submit a photo of your pet(s) and include:
   A) Name of Pet(s) featured
   B) Your name
   C) Email address
   D) Zip code
   (There is a $10 fee for entering your pet into the contest)
2. Photos may contain one or more pets and must:
   • be in color
   • contain only pets; no people
   • be set to a horizontal format
   • not be edited or altered other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments
   • Feature pets owned by the entrant (or the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image).
3. Lobby for votes! Once your pet has been submitted, share the link with your friends and family via social media, email and word of mouth.

First Place
The top-vote recipient will receive a Portraits by ShawnaLee gift certificate (valued at $325) for an 11" x 14" Pencil or Charcoal Pet Portrait done by artist, ShawnaLee Kwashnak ~and ~ placement on the cover.



Second Place
The second place recipient will receive a $200 Visa gift card.

Third Place
The third place recipient will receive a gift basket of dog/cat items ($150 value).

Top 12 (excluding the top vote recipient)
The 12 next most popular vote recipients will be featured as a full-page pet of the month.
