Stray Paws Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based rescue. Our organization believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of rescued animals and place them in loving permanent homes in St. Louis Metro Area.

Welcome to Paws for a Cause: A Dog & Cat Photo Contest for a Good Cause

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our second annual photo contest, "Stray Paws Rescue, Paws & Ladders: Firefighters & Furry Friends Calendar," in support of Stray Paws Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based rescue that aims to protect and improve the lives of rescued animals and place them in loving permanent homes in the St. Louis Metro Area.

How to Enter:

To enter the contest, you must first choose a dog or cat from the rescue. Then, promote the animal on your social media and email to your personal friends and family to gain as many votes as possible for "your" sponsored dog or cat. Remember to be creative and give "your" dog or cat every opportunity to shine! The contest will run for two weeks, and the top 12 dogs or cats with the highest votes will be featured in the Stray Paws Rescue, Paws & Ladders: Firefighters & Furry Friends 2025 Calendar

By participating in the contest, you will be helping our furry friends at Stray Paws Rescue. All the funds raised from this contest will go towards giving these animals a second chance at life and happiness.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet

Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Prizes

The top 12 Dogs or Cats will be featured in the Stray Paws 2025, Paws and Ladders: Firefighters and Furry Friends Calendar
The top 12 winners will have their sponsored pets’ photos taken by the Stray Paws photographer with one of the Florissant Valley Firefighters.
The top winner will get to choose what month of the calendar their dog or cat will be featured in.
Each consecutive winning animal will get to choose their month and will be featured with one of the Firefighters as well in the order in which they placed in the contest.
The Top 3 Winning volunteers will be featured with their winning pets on the Stray Paws Social Media Sites for Bragging Rites.

Rules

Stray Paws Rescue, Paws & Ladders: Firefighters & Furry Friends Calendar Contest Guidelines

Join us in raising funds for Stray Paws Rescue by featuring our adorable pups and cats! This contest is not only a fun way to showcase our beloved animals but also a fantastic opportunity to unite the community for a great cause. Below are the rules and details:

Rules:

1. Sponsor/Volunteer Selection: Each sponsor or volunteer will select one dog or cat from the contest to feature and promote as "their" special animal for 10 days.
2. Promotion: Sponsors will creatively promote their chosen dog or cat on social media and through personal networks, including friends and family, to gather as many votes as possible for "their" sponsored pet.
3. Creativity Encouraged: We encourage sponsors to be as creative as possible in their promotions to give their animal every opportunity to shine and attract votes.
4. Contest Duration: The contest will run for 10 days, starting from 7:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 and ending on 12:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
5. Eligibility: Sponsoring/ Nominating Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, reside in the St. Louis Metro Area, and be registered volunteers of Stray Paws Rescue.
6. Max of Two Entries Per Volunteer: Each volunteer may sponsor a max of two animal entries in the contest. You must promote each animal you nominate.
7. Winning Entries: The contest concludes on 12:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, October 17, 2024. The top 13 dogs and cats with the most votes will be featured in the 2025 "Stray Paws Rescue, Paws & Ladders: Firefighters & Furry Friends" Calendar.
