My name is Brielle. I am fundraising for an organization called Mission Rabies. I will be volunteering with them next year in Blantyre, Malawi, a city with the highest number of reported child rabies deaths anywhere in Africa. We will be vaccinating 30,000 in one month and providing education to children in order to fight the transmission of rabies among dogs and people.
Mission Rabies seeks to eliminate rabies from the world by 2030 through:
- Mass vaccination and sterilization of dogs
- Public health education
- Epidemiological research

Fundraising goal: $585 USD
This amount covers the minimum fundraising goal for the volunteer trip and the contest prizes. Proceeds in excess of this amount will go toward my travel expenses such as travel vaccines, visa fees and airfare.
