Welcome to Dharma Rescue's 2025 Handicapable Animals and Friends Calendar Photo Contest! We are excited to raise funds to support Dharma Rescue for Cats and Dogs, which cares for disabled and special needs dogs and cats.
This year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported the 2024 Calendar Contest. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to relocate to a larger facility, providing a better home for our Dharma rescues.
Join us in continuing this vital work by entering the contest, voting, campaigning for votes, reserving a calendar day, and purchasing a calendar. Every dollar you donate goes directly to operating expenses, including medical care, food, therapy, and other essentials for the animals in our care. Your support ensures that even those animals who are never adopted will have a forever home at Dharma Rescue.
This marks our sixth year of this fundraiser, which not only supports our mission but also brings awareness to the incredible individuals who dedicate their hearts, love, and time to caring for special needs animals. Through their stories, we hope to inspire and honor these compassionate caregivers.
Every animal has a special story, and we want to celebrate the unique beauty and spirit of each one.
This year, we welcome photographs and bios of all animals, not just those who are handicapable, to showcase some of the most supportive friends of our rescue. These will be included alongside our monthly handicapable winners in a new section called "Dharma's Friends" Every animal has a special story, and for the next 8 weeks, we want to celebrate the unique beauty and spirit of each one.
We believe this calendar will highlight the beauty and resilience and the special bond our handicapable animals and friends share with their caregivers .

Gutter_Baby Once again one of our favorite artists Michelle is going to make a pet parent very happy with one of her mixed media pieces. She knows what every special need pet parent goes through, since she too is a pet parent to a disabled pup, Bella. She creates whimsical pieces and puts a lot of thought into the one she is going doing a commission on.
Penny and Pineapple We are very happy to have artist Allana back to donate a drawing for one of the winning entries in the contest. Allana is very talented, her work is very precise and she captures the expression of her subjects. You can tell she too loves animals.

The ingredients are natural and the cats go crazy for Inaba, the dogs too. Its a great way to bribe your cat and tame the wildest kitten. Dharma Rescues paralyzed kitties go to bed in their kennels after diapers come off and bottoms are cleaned. Like little kids, sometimes they don't want to go to bed but if they here that churu opening up they dash to their beds. Best bribery for kitties and pups.
Wayward Hound Bakery Every dog, and for sure every dog at Dharma Rescue, love Wayward Hound cookies. They are healthy natural cookies with all kinds of flavors: blueberry, peanut butter, pumpkin, cheese, bacon, veggies and more. This is a family owned business and they care about the animals. Don't tell our dogs but our cats like the cheese and bacon treats.
Reserve a Date in the Calendar for your PetBe a part of Dharma Rescues 2025 calendar celebrating Handicapable dogs, cats and other sentient beings by having your pet in the calendar. You may reserve a spot for your pet whether they are handicapable or not. Let's share our animal friends' pictures and show how much we love them all!
For $10 you can purchase a photo spot on any day of your choice; the donation goes to the Dharma Rescue DAWGS present and future rescues. You will be helping us help them: the ones who are first to be euthanized at the shelters and the first to be passed over for adoption because they are broken. We believe broken can always be mended.
