A little about me...Amori was adopted from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria in August of 2023. Having been surrendered two times prior, he was desperately in need of a permanent furever home. A tad bit more standoffish than other guinea pigs, this habitually “single” pig was previously unable to live with other pigs. Over dedication and time, Amori has come out of his shy guy shell and bonded with a little brother, a hairless guinea pig aka “Skinny Pig” named Patch. He is now living his best life with his brother which is very important for a herd animal like a guinea pig to have company. He is doted on by his loving family, including primary caregiver 12 year old human Zoë who saw his face on the AWLA website and fell in love, undeterred by his rocky past. Amori would like to remind his public to please give surrendered pets like him a second chance.
If your animal is from a specific animal shelter/rescue organization, let us know what organization. If they're an Animal Welfare League of Alexandria alum, their photo will have a special badge in the printed calendar!Animal welfare league of Alexandria alum
