2025 Best Pets Of The Wiregrass Calendar Photo Contest

Welcome to the Wiregrass Humane Society's 29th annual Best Pets of the Wiregrass Calendar Contest.

This photo fundraiser is a meaningful way to celebrate your pet while supporting the animals at the WHS Shelter. Your photo entries and votes are tax deductible donations which help us provide care for over 100 animals daily as they wait for their forever homes.

It's easy to participate! Submit your favorite photo of your pet then get your family and friends to vote for your pet's picture. You can email links to encourage voting.

Please read the RULES below before participating.

Rules

All photos must be animals only – no humans please! Photos should be high resolution. If your submission is low resolution or poor quality you will be asked for a better quality image (only if you are one of the top 13 winners).
$10 entry fee for each photo submitted.
$1 per vote.
If you are unable to upload and pay for your entry electronically, you may drop off your photos (8" x 10" or larger only) and entry fee at our Second Chance Thrift Shop at 1381 Reeves Street. We will then scan and upload your entry for you. Deadline for non-electronic entries is August 4.

Prizes

All photos entered will be featured in the 2025 calendar.
The photo receiving the most dollar votes will be the "Pet of the Year" and that photo will grace the cover of the 2025 calendar. The winner will also be featured on our shelter van and website homepage for one year and receive 5 free calendars.
The 12 photos with the next highest number of votes will be featured as "Pets of the Month." These winners will also be shown on our website homepage during their "featured month" and receive 1 free calendar.
All other entries will be included in the 2025 calendar. Please indicate with your entry if you wish your photo to appear in the Shelter Pets, Memorial, or general calendar section of the calendar.
