Walk Fur Multiple Sclerosis is a fun event in Goldsboro NC where the dogs raise money to help people who live with MS. Proceeds go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Please read the contest rules carefully to make sure your photo is eligible to win a prize.
The the top twelve canine vote-recipients will appear on an individual page in a 2026 wall calendar and will win a single Bark Box. The top 3 canine vote-recipients will also receive a personalized plaque or trophy.
The top canine vote recipient will win a $150 gift card to Pet Supplies Plus in addition to the Bark Box and plaque or trophy.
The second place canine vote recipient will win a $125 gift card to Pet Supplies Plus in addition to the Bark Box and plaque or trophy.
The third place canine vote recipient will win a $100 gift card to Pet Supplies Plus in addition to the Bark Box and plaque or trophy.
If you are a winner and live in an area that is not near Pet Supplies Plus, we will send you a gift card to your local pet store.
Dogs in places 4-12 will win a calendar page and a single Bark Box.
Each dog or other animal who raises at least $8 in the contest will appear on a calendar square somewhere in the calendar. This is a small discount from the reserve-a-day price because we would prefer that your photo be in the contest where it can get some votes!
We will also recognize the top vote-recipients in the "other species" category. All animals are invited to join the contest, but only dogs will appear on the calendar pages.
Reserve a Date Block in the Calendar
You can reserve a day on the calendar in honor or memory of someone, or for any MS-related purpose. You can submit a photo with a caption. Humans are allowed in these photos! These submissions can be photographs, artwork, or modified photographs. As an alternative, you can submit
this ribbon with a caption. Due to the sensitivity of medical conditions, if you submit a photo of someone who is living, please ask for their permission to submit the photo. We plan to sell the calendars locally as well as in other geographical areas. Each reserved day requires a
$10 donation.

Contest is open to any dog, anywhere. In order to win the prizes listed, the photos must meet these rules. Multiple dogs may appear in the photo. Collage photos are ineligible for prizes or calendar pages. There must be an MS theme. (Orange is the color for multiple sclerosis awareness.) This can be as simple as wearing something orange OR a theme that is more elaborate.
Please keep in mind that our goal is to create a calendar that supports people with MS and that raises awareness of MS. If the photo does not qualify, it might be removed, or it might remain in the contest as a means of raising money, but it would not win a calendar page. You may re-submit a qualifying photo, but votes from the prior photo will not be transferred and those votes will not be credited towards your photo. In order to avoid this situation, you may message the Facebook page Walk Fur Multiple Sclerosis, Goldsboro NC before submitting a photo to receive an opinion as to whether the photograph qualifies under the rules.
In order to win a page on the calendar, there must be no humans or other species in the photo. The dog does not have to be living at the time of the contest; if you were able to take a picture that qualifies while the dog was living, you may enter the picture in memory of the dog. Any photo that has appeared on a calendar page in a previous year's contest is not eligible to win a calendar page. Entries must be photographs and not artwork; however artwork can be used for the reserve-a-date feature. Photos must be respectful, and contest administrators reserve the right to remove a photo from the contest or to decline to print the photo in the calendar. Remember that one of the calendar's purposes is to encourage people who live with MS. We know it can be difficult to photograph animals, but please try to submit photos without blurring of the animals. If an image is too blurry, we may decline to print it in the calendar. Also be aware of the background.
All entrants give permission for the photo to be included in future calendars that will be offered for sale to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. By submitting a photo, you represent that you own the rights to the photo.
Rules concerning other species (cats, horses, rabbits, iguanas, etc): We would love for your animals to help us raise money for the National MS Society. Any animal that raises at least $8 will be somewhere on the calendar, but only dogs will be shown on the main calendar pages.
We are in our eleventh year of Walk Fur Multiple Sclerosis. The event is hosted by a Bike MS team that is raising money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We invite every dog from near or far to join the photo contest, and any dog who can get to the in-person event is invited to come!
