The 2025 Umbrella of Hope Illustrated Pet Calendar Contest!

We know your pet’s a star…but shouldn’t everyone else?

Welcome to Umbrella of Hope’s 2025 Illustrated Pet Calendar Fundraiser!

This year we’re looking for TWELVE pets to feature in our 2025 calendar. All funds raised go towards our vital services, which include foster care, adoptions, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and so much more!

It’s easy to participate! Submit your favourite photo of your pet, then encourage your family, friends, and everyone else you know to vote for your pet’s picture. Votes are $1 each, with all proceeds going to help Umbrella of Hope!

The top 12 pets with the most votes will star in our first-ever calendar!

And we’re doing something incredibly special for those top 12 pets — rather than feature the photo in the calendar, for the top 12 winners, we’re having artist Justus Joseph create a one-of-a-kind drawing of your pet based on their photo!

These top 12 winners will also have a copy of the illustration mailed to them, and the overall top vote-getter will also have the distinct honor of picking which month their pet appears!

Plus, all photo entries with 20 votes or more are GUARANTEED inclusion on the calendar collage pages!

You also have the option of reserving a calendar day for your pet, which will feature their photo, for only $15!

And that’s not all — everyone who enters the contest has a chance to win other great prizes!

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

#1 Top Vote-getter Grand Prize

Month spread in the 2025 Umbrella of Hope Pet Calendar!
Original photo entry will be used to create an original, one-of-a-kind drawing by artist Justus Joseph. The drawing will be featured as a special spread inside the 2025 Umbrella of Hope Pet Calendar.
Original photo entry will be featured on Umbrella of Hope’s social media pages to celebrate the top vote-getter.
Top vote-getter will also receive a hoodie with the drawing of their pet on it.
Top vote-getter will receive four calendars in the mail.
Top vote-getter will be mailed a copy of the drawing featured in the calendar.

Weekly top vote getters:

On the 6^th, 13^th, and 20^th the week’s top vote-getters will receive Umbrella of Hope prizes!

Weekly judge’s choice prize:

On the 6^th, 13^th, and 20^th our judge’s will select one judge’s choice winner from among all entrants that is not dependent on number of votes. Our judge’s choice prize winners will receive Umbrella of Hope prizes!

Entrants that receive 500 or more votes will receive four copies of the 2025 calendar mailed to their homes in the winter of 2024.

Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Rules

Contest begins at 9:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Friday, November 1, 2024 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
No votes will be counted after contest closes. No exceptions.
Votes must register online to be counted. Umbrella of Hope is not responsible for user error, slow servers, or issues that may prevent votes from processing.
Votes are $1 each. There is no limit on the number of votes one can buy
You may submit a photo of your hounds as individuals or as groups.
In order to receive a calendar, you must purchase a calendar. Pre-orders are available.

Pro tip: High-resolution photos (300 dpi or greater) in landscape (horizontal) format have the best chance of winning.
