There is no entry fee. Once you enter your pet and upload the photo that's where the fun begins. Get your family and friends to vote for your photo. Votes are $1.00 each! It is your chance to give exposure to your foster pets or show off your personal pet. You will receive a link once you are entered to share on social media! Now is your chance to make your pet a star and do it all for a great cause!
TMRS is a small rescue in Memphis, TN. We are all volunteers; no one is paid. 100% of every dollar donated goes to our dogs!
There are 80 dogs in our care and 11 of them are in boarding waiting for an adopter or a foster. Boarding fees take away from our dogs' and it's not fair to them.

There are multiple reputable rescue organizations; we encourage you to seek opportunities to help any one of them because together we can save lives!
1st Place Prize:
All the donations on the winning photo will be transferred from Team Memphis Rescue & Support to the organization that is indicated as the beneficiary (only registered 501(c)(3) organizations associated with animals). The winner will also be featured on our brand-new website from October 28 to November 15.
2nd Place Prize: 50% of the proceeds on the 2nd place photo will go to the 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization indicated as the beneficiary. For example, if the 2nd Place photo receives 1,000 votes, your 501(c)(3) will receive $500.
3rd Place Prize:30% of the proceeds on the 3rd place photo will go to the 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization indicated as the beneficiary. For example, if the 3rd Place photo receives 500 votes, your 501(c)(3) will receive $150.
Rules
- Voting is easy and fun and open to everyone. Votes are $1 each. Each dollar donated equals an equivalent number of votes. (A $5 donation equals 5 votes, a $10 donation equals 10 votes, etc.) Proceeds will benefit Team Memphis Rescue & Support and fund the care of our rescue dogs. TMRS is a designated 501(c)(3) charity, making all donations toward voting in the contest tax deductible. You can vote as often as you like during the contest. You can apply all your votes to one photo or vote for multiple photos during the contest.
- This is a positive event meant to help animals in need and give exposure to all pets, particularly those who are waiting for a forever family.
- All entries are on the "honor" system. We ask that you do not place us in the middle of controversy by not abiding by the rules.
- All pets can enter, if you consider your entry as a pet then we do as well. Humans are not pets.
- Pet must reside in the Midsouth; even if the rescue organization is out of the area, if the pet resides in the Midsouth you may enter. Generally, we consider the Midsouth West Tennessee, North Mississippi, Northeast Arkansas, and the Missouri Bootheel at a minimum. If you consider yourself "Midsouth" then we do as well. Entries grossly out of this region will be removed.
- The winner can determine what 501(c)(3) organization they wish to receive the money if they are associated with animals and are in the United States. They will indicate this on their entry, and it cannot be changed after the winner is announced. TMRS will pay the fees for running the contest so there will be no money deducted.
- The pet must have a "costume" on which is defined as more than a collar; bandanas are authorized.
- The photo must be taken in 2024.
- People and multiple pets can be in the photo as long as one non-human has on a costume.
- Deadline for submissions is no later than 4:20:59 PM (Central Time) on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. They can be emailed to teammemphisrescue@gmail.com, Team Memphis Rescue & Support Facebook Messenger, or uploaded yourself. (Preferred). It is everyone's responsibility to verify their entry was received before the deadline. It will not be our intention to miss any submission, please help us stay honest. If you email or message us you must include the following information: Name of pet, City and State they physically reside in, Rescue Organization or Shelter they are being sponsored by (if applicable), and what 501(c)(3 ) Organization that is associated with animals you would like to benefit if you win the first-place prize.
- Personal pets are welcomed to enter. Please just put N/A for what Rescue Organization or Shelter they are being sponsored by and provide all the additional information.
- To keep the contest fair and allow people to track it in real time, we are using a third-party host. We support all our legitimate Rescue Organizations and we do not want to give an advantage to anyone. We value our partnerships because rescue is a team sport. This is meant to be fun, fair, and beneficial to all.
Team Memphis Rescue & Support is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-breed rescue group that helps abandoned, neglected and lost pets. We are intensely devoted to helping pets find forever homes. Our existence depends on support from volunteers, fosters and donations. It's what makes saving animals possible.
