Stray Paws Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based rescue. Our organization believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of rescued animals and place them in loving permanent homes in St. Louis Metro Area.

Welcome to Paws for a Cause: A Dog & Cat Photo Contest for a Good Cause

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first-ever photo contest, "Paws for a Cause," in support of Stray Paws Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based rescue that aims to protect and improve the lives of rescued animals and place them in loving permanent homes in the St. Louis Metro Area.

How to Enter:

To enter the contest, you must first choose a dog or cat from the rescue. Then, promote the animal on your social media and email to your personal friends and family to gain as many votes as possible for "your" sponsored dog or cat. Remember to be creative and give "your" dog or cat every opportunity to shine! The contest will run for four weeks, and the top 12 dogs and cats with the highest votes will be featured in the Stray Paws, Paws for a Cause with the Fireman 2024 Calendar.

By participating in the contest, you will be helping our furry friends at Stray Paws Rescue. All participants will receive a certificate of participation, and the funds raised from this contest will go towards giving these animals a second chance at life and happiness.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet

Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Prizes

The top 12 Dogs and Cats will be featured in the Stray Paws 2024, Paws For A Cause with the Fireman Calendar.
The top 12 winners will have their sponsored pets’ photos taken by the Stray Paws photographer and The Fireman of the sponsor's choice.
The top winner will get to choose what month of the calendar their dog or cat will be featured in.
Each consecutive winning animal will get to choose their month and will be featured with the fireman of their choice as well in the order in which they placed in the contest.
The Top 3 Winning volunteers will be featured with their winning pets on the Stray Paws Social Media Sites for Bragging Rites.
The top vote-getter will receive a Fitbit Versa 2.

Rules

Our goal is to raise funds for Stray Paws Rescue while showcasing our adorable pups and cats and bringing the community together for a good cause. Here are all the details about the rules & prizes:

Rules:

Each sponsor/ Volunteer will choose a dog or Cat from the shelter to feature and promote for four weeks as "their" dog or cat.
The sponsor will promote their dog or cat on their social media and email to their personal friends and family to gain as many votes as possible for "their" sponsored animal.
The sponsor/volunteer will be creative in promoting "their" star to give them every opportunity to shine.
The contest will run for four weeks, from 12:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, August 21, 2023 to 11:59:59 PM (Central Time) on Friday, September 15, 2023
Participants must be at least 18 years old and reside in the St. Louis Metro Area and a registered volunteer of the Stray Paws Shelter.
Only one entry per volunteer is allowed.
The contest will end at 11:59:59 PM (Central Time) on Friday, September 15, 2023 and the top 12 Dogs/ Cats with the most votes will be deemed the winners and will be entered into the 2024 Stray Paws For a Cause with the Fireman calendar.
