Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, Santa Maria Times and Presqu'ile Winery have joined forced to celebrate dogs and cats and the people who love them with the first Spokesdog and Spokescat contest! One winning dog and one winning cat will have their image appear on the new release of the 2018 Presqu'ile Rescue Wine Collection!

Nominations are now open. Submit a photo of your pet and tell us why your dog or cat is the perfect Spokesdog or Spokescat for rescued pets everywhere! Voting for your favorites begins October 26, 2017 and each vote cast is a $1 donation to the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. The three dogs and three cats with the most votes will each receive a $100 gift certificate for pet products and services at the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. One grand prize winning dog and one grand prize winning cat will be selected by our judges to appear on the labels of the 2018 Presqu'ile Rescue Wine Collection Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, respectively.

The submitted image of every dog and every cat will be published in the Santa Maria Times in a special section insert saluting Our Best Friends before December 31, 2017.
