Pet's Story or Bio
Forrest "Bubba" Bird is a blue and gold macaw that we purchased before we were married in 1992. We call him our first kid because we have had him longer than our two children and he will hopefully be a lifelong pet, as macaws in captivity can live to be 80 years old. Forrest is very intelligent, playful and talkative. His favorite phrase is, "Want a cracker!" which can mean he wants either a food treat or attention. He says "good night" when he wants to call it a day and be put in his cage for the night. His wing lifts are parrot body language that mean that he is very excited and happy so this is a joyful Bubba bird pose!
