Welcome to our Calendar Contest! Wild+Ruff Dog Photography is teaming up with Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Rescue to create a very special 2025 dog calendar for an amazing cause.
Enter a photo of your dog to be eligible to win a Wild+Ruff portrait mini session and a coveted spot in our 2025 fundraiser calendar.
All funds raised from entries, votes, and calendar sales will support the incredible animal rescue and rehabilitation work of Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Rescue.
To participate: Submit a photo and mini bio of your dog (submission fee is $5), then encourage your family and friends to vote for your pet’s picture.
- The dog with the most votes, between April 1 and May 1, 2024, will win a mini Wild+Ruff Dog Photography portrait session (value: $195) and be featured on the cover page of our 2025 calendar.
- The next 12 dogs with the most votes will win a mini Wild+Ruff Dog Photography portrait session (value: $195) and their full-page portrait will be featured on a month in the 2025 calendar.
Prizes
Grand Winner
The dog with the most votes will grace the cover of the 2025 Wild+Ruff x Second Chance calendar. The grand winner will be determined by its vote totals, as of the contest close on May 1, 2024 at 9 p.m. In the case of a tie for grand winner, the entrant that reaches their final vote total first will receive the prize.

There are 12 calendar month pages* to win in the 2025 Wild+Ruff x Second Chance calendar.
Winners will be determined by their vote totals, as of the contest close at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. In the case of a tie for a calendar spot, the entrant that reaches their final vote total first will receive the prize.
- The contest opens at 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, April 1, 2024. The contest closes at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
- Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated. There may also be flash promotions, with the limited-time opportunity to get bonus votes.
- Contest participants can enter from anywhere in Canada but must be available for a photo session in the Greater Toronto Area, between May 2 and September 30, 2024.
- If it is not possible for a winning dog to make the photo session, their spot will go to the runner-up doggo with the next highest number of votes.
- Each entrant may only win one place in the calendar.
- Voters may vote from anywhere in the world!
- By submitting a photo of your pet for the contest, you acknowledge and give permission to Wild+Ruff Dog Photography and Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Rescue to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered in relevant promotions.
- All calendar contest entrants must be dogs and may not appear with other animals or humans in their entry. In the contest entry photos submitted, dogs must not be displaying any signs of distress (e.g., looking stressed or afraid). We reserve the right to ask for a new picture submission.
- There may be double-vote promotion days, where votes cast will be matched. All entrants will be notified in advance by email.
