Saving with Soul’s Holiday Pet Photo Contest

Welcome to Saving with Soul's first ever online Holiday Photo Contest! The goal of this contest is to help raise as much as we can towards building our low cost spay/neuter clinic at our new satellite space, the Pup Stop, in Baker, FL. We have the space, the committed veterinarians, and the desire. And of course, plenty of pets to alter in the area! We are about halfway to our goal of $50,000 and every bit helps!

We are committed to helping stop the endless cycle of unwanted pets in our area, while continuing to build on our average rescue/adopt rate of over 1500 pets a year since 2017.

It's easy to participate! Just submit a favorite pet photo online in the contest for a $5 donation entry fee (holiday photos encouraged but not required), then invite your friends and family to vote, vote, vote! ($1 donation per vote).

The winner will receive a custom pet portrait painted by local artist, Ruta! (see prizes tab for details). Second place winner will receive a $50 gift card to Pet Supermarket and choice of a small dog or cat swag bag that includes hand painted mug by local artist Vivian Zack. Third place will receive a $25 gift card to Walmart…and all winners receive bragging rights!

Voting begins at 9:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 and end at 9:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Friday, December 15, 2023…see if your pet has what it takes to be the star this holiday season!

Prizes

First place:
Photo receiving the most votes will win a custom 12 in. x 12 in. custom pet portrait painting by local artist Ruta. Ruta is a Lithuanian artist who has resided in the U.S. since 1994. She graduated from the Fine Arts Gymnasium in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 1992. Her mediums include oil, acrylics, and watercolor. You can see examples of her work at rutarose.com/gallery. Winner will be put in contact with Ruta to arrange details.

Second place:
$50 Pet Supermarket gift card and choice of dog OR cat small swag basket, including a hand painted mug by local artist Vivian Zack.

Third place:
$25 Walmart gift card

Additional Prize:
In addition, we will be offering a "mystery prize" for Rescue's Choice. One lucky participant will be chosen for a mystery prize, regardless of votes. Anyone can win!

Photos can be of multiple pets
No humans in the photos, please
No professional photos
All photos must be submitted online through the contest site
Photos must be submitted by the pet's owner
Photos do not have to be holiday themed but are highly encouraged!
Any photo deemed inappropriate, obscene, or offensive will be removed and ineligible
Donations are tax deductible (save your donation receipt!) and non-refundable
Entry fee is a $5 donation per photo
Each vote is a $1 donation per vote
Winners will be contacted by email to arrange for prize delivery

About Us

Saving with Soul is a fast-growing group of devoted animal rescuers based in the Panhandle of Florida. We specialize in finding shelter animals forever homes through an extensive foster program and weekly adoption events. We pull homeless animals from shelters in Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa Counties; between 10 and 50 animals per week. We average around 1600 adoptions a year.

We have a building in Fort Walton Beach temporarily housing a few adoptable dogs before they go into foster, and quite a few cats are housed there as well. We recently opened a satellite location in Baker, FL, called The Pup Stop. It is a mostly small dog adoption center, and we are raising funds to open a low cost spay/neuter clinic for our area (currently there is not one!). We have committed space and veterinarians; we just need the funds to make the space operational! Our goal is to open the clinic by the end of this year.
