• The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes.
• The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar, as well as a feature as a pet of the month!
• 2nd - 12th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
• Entries featuring two pets will share a month if they place among the top 12 vote recipients.
• The top 12 vote recipients will have their pet professionally photographed by Melissa Maahs Photography for the 2026 calendar.
• The top 12 vote recipients will receive one complimentary 5x7 print and the low resolution, watermarked digital version (perfect for social media sharing) of the image that will appear in the calendar.
• All winners will have the opportunity to purchase products and additional images following their session, if desired.

*If your pet is one of the 12 to be photographed for the calendar, you must be able to bring your pet to Melissa Maahs Photography, located in the Durham Region, Ontario area during June-September, 2025 for a professional on-location (outdoor), micro photo session to capture the image to be featured in the 2026 calendar. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected location, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.

• One pet in weeks 3, 4 and 5 who receives the highest number of new votes for a particular week will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses.
  
  
• One pet in week 2 who is the first NEW entry to get the most votes between Sunday, May 4th, 2025 at 8AM ET and Sunday May 11th, 2025 at 8AM ET wins the mini-contest prize that will be announced on May 18th, 2025.  Note: entries on or previous to May 4th, 2025 7:59 AM ET do not qualify for this mini-contest).

• Prizes to be announced during the contest.

In the event of a tie for each particular week's contest, or if there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized drawing will be held for all eligible pets.

• Each entry is a $5 fee (donation).
• PETS ONLY IN THE PHOTO entry. People are not allowed in photos, only your pet. We ask that no human faces be in the photo. If there is a human in the photo, make sure that their face is out of the photo. Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.
• Entry photos that include two pets will be photographed together (maximum of 2 pets) if they win, or you can choose one pet to be photographed. If photographed together, the pets will share a month if they place among the top 12 vote recipients.
• All photos must be uploaded to the contest website. We cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos. If you’d like to use a photo from a professional photographer, you must get permission from the photographer to use the photo in the contest.
• The Submissions Period starts at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, April 25, 2025 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
• Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Melissa Maahs Photography in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
• Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entries that receive the most votes. The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.
  
  

• Votes are $1 each
• Each $1 counts as one (1) vote.
• All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
• All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
• The Voting Period starts at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, April 25, 2025 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
  
  

• The top 12 vote recipients will win a professional, on-location (outdoor) micro photo session by Melissa Maahs Photography at a pre-selected location in the Durham Region area sometime between June-September, 2025. The session is a micro-session, and will be approximately 10-15 minutes long. Only the pet will be photographed.
• If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations in the Durham Region, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote recipients will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
• The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar and will also be featured inside the calendar as a pet of the month. The following 11 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
• The photographer, Melissa Maahs Photography, will choose the best image of the pets to be used in the calendar as well as which month their image will appear.
  
  

• The pet receiving the highest number of new votes in weeks 3, 4, and 5 will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses.

• Each pet may only win a weekly mini-contest once.
• In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote recipients of the week to determine that week's winner.
• In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible pets.
• Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply and may vary by business. Melissa Maahs Photography is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.
  
  

• By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
• Calendars will be available to the general public for purchase starting early November, 2025.
• By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Saving South Paws and Melissa Maahs Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
