SAFe Rescue’s 2nd Annual Cat Photo Contest

We had so much fun celebrating 10 years of SAFe Rescue with last year’s photo contest—which raised an aMEOWzing $30,000 for Rescue kitties—that we’re making it a tradition!

Submit a photo* of your beloved kitty companion, and the top vote-getter** will recieve exciting perks, including a custom, hand-crafted pet portrait by local artist Sadie Pie Designs, a poster of your cat’s portrait displayed at SAFe’s Adoption Center, their portrait featured on the front of the box for the 2025 SAFe Rescue Collectible Playing Card Deck (didn’t get a deck last year? Buy them here), and their photo on your choice of card in the playing card deck.

The second and third-place kitties, along with the top 52 runners-up, will also receive special recognition. Check out the Prizes section below for all the details!

Prizes

First Place:

This year's winner will receive one 8” x 10” hand-crafted pet portrait by local artist Sadie Pie Designs based on the winning photo!
A poster version of your cat’s portrait will be displayed in SAFe’s Adoption Center!
The portrait will be featured on the front of the box for this year’s collectible playing card deck!
Your cat’s photo will be on the card of your choice in this year’s collectible playing card deck.

Second & Third Place:

Your kitties’ photos will be displayed in a winners’ gallery at SAFe’s Adoption Center.
Their photos will also be featured on the back of the box for this year’s collectible playing card deck.
They will also be featured as cards in this year’s collectible playing card deck!

Runners Up:

The photos of the top 52 cats will be featured as cards in this year’s collectible playing card deck

Rules

How to Participate:

Enter the contest by uploading a photo of your cat with a $20 entry fee.
Vote for your favorite cat(s)! $1 = 1 vote (a minimum of 5 votes [$5] is required)
Only submissions and votes made through this website will be accepted.
Vote as many times as you’d like—every entry and vote makes a diﬀerence for cats in need!
Contest closes at 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Eligible Photos:

Only photos of pet cats are allowed.
Cats do not need to be SAFe Alumni (but feel free to share if they are in the bio!).
One cat per entry (each cat requires a separate photo and entry).
Make sure you own the photo or have the owner’s permission to share it.

Friendly Reminders:

Keep your photo and caption appropriate for everyone to enjoy.
Clear, front-facing photos are preferred.
By sharing your photo, you grant SAFe Rescue publication rights for the photo and caption.
By participating, you’ll be added to our email list, but you can unsubscribe anytime.
