Prizes:
There will be one winner in each of the two categories. Winners will receive a check in the amount of half of the raised funds toward their school’s art department. Checks will be presented directly to the school in a scheduled photo opportunity with the art teacher, school personnel, student, family members who wish to join, and Rotary Club Members.
Rules
There are two categories: K-2 and 3-5. Students will upload their contest submission between Jan. 16-31st. Voting will continue until Feb. 13th. Results will be announced on Feb. 14th.
Art submission guidelines:
Drawings should be a depiction of “To me, kindness looks like…” All drawings should be free of any inappropriate content such as nudity, vulgar language or symbols, etc. Drawings should represent the Rotary Core Values of service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership.
Rotary International exists for the following purposes:
- The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.
- High Ethical standards in business and professions and the recognition of the opportunity for service in all useful occupations.
- Application of the ideal of Service in each Rotarians personal, business, and community life.
- Advancement of International understanding, goodwill and peace through the ideal of Service.
The Blue Springs Rotary Club received its charter on March 26, 1962 and has a long history of community involvement, particularly with our youth. We are strong advocates for helping those who wish to help themselves. Each club member supports, participates, and contributes to the local, district and international projects of Rotary International through a combination of volunteering and monetary donations. We are comprised of a broad variety of community business leaders, who each have a voice in our club. All of our Rotarians are friendly, fun-loving men and women (of all ages) who know how to get things done.
