Jake was only 9 months old when I heard of an old farmer trying to find him a new home. He was not the best listener & would often get to close to the farmers horses scaring him that his livestock would succumb to injuries. He said “a horse vet bill cost way more than a dog” and feared that he would have to put Jake down the “old fashioned way”. When I heard of this strange breed I told my dad and apparently a “blue heeler” was the exact breed he was telling me about weeks before. It had to have been higher power right? So I had to go get this pup. The old farmer loved him but just could not keep him unfortunately. 3 years later with some change, Jake is a family member of this house hold and is truly loved. He is well trained and adored by everyone that meets him. He has turned out to be a true companion & has shown that he will willingly follow me to the end of the earth..or just the bathroom.. And some how, some way still doesn’t listen!
