Morty came to us during the time of a major change of our family -— As most folk know, families come in many non traditional forms .
Julie, a friendly cashier at my grocery store was telling her bag boy that a cat she rescued just had kittens . I wanted a kitten for my son Jack’s bday . Jack chose this male long hair tabby who we named after the character Jack was portraying on his High School stage =Mortimer Mortimer. Jack and his brother spent every other weekend with their Dad so Morty became more attached to Me - perfect timing as he became therapy in my time of grief.
Watching Morty calms me and reminds me of the simple beauty in nature and life. Morty “ guards “ our home and loves the great outdoors as well as napping on our golf cart -

We rescued Morty and he rescued me ! Jack is now away at College. The first time he contacted me after leaving home was to ask for a photo of Morty as he missed him!
