Your Pet's Story or Bio
I named my Freya after the Nordic goddess and found out later that the goddess is often depicted as driving a chariot pulled by two black cats. I got her at a Purrfect Pals adoption event at the Everett PetSmart in 2009 when she was about 3 - her shelter name was “Lucky Lady.” She was then my beautiful baby for 14 years until she passed in 2023. I cannot express in words my gratitude to her for being my companion for those years, for teaching me everything from unconditional love to living fully in the moment to caring for another being. She was a classic “catty cat,” as I teased her - wild, independent, iron willed, affectionate in the right place at the right time. I am better for having loved her and been loved by her.
