There Just Aren’t Enough Cat Photos on the Web. Let's Fix That!!
The 2026 calendar will feature the “Cat of the Year” on the cover and will be receiving the title of Purrfect Pals’ Average Joe Cat of 2026! This contest is to select our twelve runners-up that will be featured on the months of January through December in our upcoming calendar! The Average Joe Cat Photo Contest is an annual celebration of cats and their quirks. Starting on March 15th, 2025, we invite you to enter (or vote for) YOUR favorite cat photos in our 2025 contest, powered by GoGo Photo Contest.
Winners will be selected based on the number of online votes they receive between March 15th & March 28th and all proceeds will support Purrfect Pals. Let’s make this annual fundraiser a huge success so we can provide much-needed second chances for the many homeless cats and kittens who need our help!

Prizes
FIRST PLACE WINNER:
First pick for the month (January-December) your photo will be displayed in the 2026 Purrfect Pals Average Joe Calendar and you will receive three calendars after they are printed; one to keep and two to distribute to a friend.
SECOND PLACE WINNER:
Second pick for the month (January-December your photo will be displayed in the 2026 Purrfect Pals Average Joe Calendar and you will receive two calendars after they are printed; one to keep and one to distribute to a friend.
THIRD PLACE WINNER:
Third pick for the month (January-December your photo will be displayed in the 2026 Purrfect Pals Average Joe Calendar and you will receive two calendars after they are printed; one to keep and one to distribute to a friend.
4th-12th PLACE WINNER:
Your photo will be displayed in the 2026 Purrfect Pals Average Joe Calendar on an available month and you will receive two calendars after they are printed; one to keep and one to distribute to a friend.
Entering the Contest
- Please visit this page between March 15th-28th 2025 to enter your favorite cat photos and then start campaigning for votes.
- Don’t forget to tell your family, friends and social media followers about the contest and encourage them to vote for your kitty!
- You may enter as many photos as you would like.
- The entry fee for each photo is $20.00
- Each Vote is just $1.00
- Please submit a good quality picture of your cat for print and that we can share on social media and our website.
Voting for Your Favorite Photos
- The voting period will begin on March 15th-28th 2025.
- Voting is open to everyone and there is no limit to the number of votes you can purchase.
- Votes are $1 each.
- Be sure to email a link to your photo(s) to friends and family asking them to vote and explain that their votes help homeless kitties ($1 donation per vote)
- It’s quick and easy to share your cat’s photo link on social media to encourage votes.
- Remember to enter your photos ASAP so you can get as many votes as possible.
- All proceeds from the Average Joe Cat Photo Contest will support the important work Purrfect Pals is doing to end cat homelessness in the Puget Sound region. Purrfect Pals is a nonprofit organization and your donation may be tax-deductible.
