ELIGIBILITY
- This photo contest is open to all pugs/pug mixes that have been rescued, either from Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia or another rescue/shelter (foster, adopted, etc.).
TIMELINE
- Contest begins on June 1, 2024. Entering contest photos ends on June 30, 2024 at 8pm ET. Voting ends on July 15, 2024 at 8pm ET.
- 2025 Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia calendars will be available for order through July 15, 2024.
PHOTO CONTEST ENTRY FEES
- Entry fee is $35 per photo -- includes entry into the photo contest PLUS 1 calendar (shipping included). Participants may enter as many photos as they want, but each photo will have a separate entry fee.
- Votes received by community and friends in the photo contest will determine the winners, including the cover.
PHOTO SUBMISSIONS
- To get a great photo, considering taking pictures outside in the shade, or inside with plenty of light on your pet's face. Getting down at their eye level can also capture a wonderful image of their personality!
- All photo entries must be original work of the entrant – you must own the copyright of the photograph.
- Photos must not include filters, text, or watermarks. We prefer just pug faces (no people).
- Photos for the calendar contest should be submitted as a JPEG, PNG, or TIFF with as high resolution as possible. They should be 300 dpi, and preferably 8x10 for print in the calendar. Photos taken with your cell phone meet these requirements, please upload them directly from your phone (do not resize them before sending).
- Photos for the Reserve a Calendar Day option can be smaller (4x6 or larger).
- Photos must be digital; No hard copy entries will be accepted.
- Submission of entry represents your consent for photo(s) to be posted for voting and to be used in the Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia calendar. Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia will retain the rights to use any photo submitted in any advertising, social media, or printing in the future.
- We ask that you submit a short story about your pet to be used during the voting period and/or in the calendar.
- Please share your entry with others and encourage them to vote!
PHOTO CONTEST WINNER CRITERIA
- The TOP VOTE EARNER will be on the COVER of the Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia 2025 calendar!
- Photos finishing in 2nd – 12th places, along with 1 Judge’s Choice photo, will each be featured on one month in the 2025 calendar.
- All entered photos will appear in the 2025 calendar.
VOTING FEES
- Each vote is $1. There is no limit to the number of votes each person can cast.
- PRFG is a 501(c) (3) organization. When you purchase votes, you are making a donation to PRFG to help cover medical expenses for foster pugs— the pugs thank you for your support!
- When you complete your transaction, you will receive a confirmation email which will serve as your proof of donation. Donations are tax deductible. All donations are non-refundable.
- Due to the computer tabulating system there may be a few minutes delay between when a donation is received and when it is reflected in the leaderboard.
RESERVE A DAY
- Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a calendar day to honor your pug/pug mix (no PRFG relationship required). Your pug's photo and name will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo, then choose the day, and pay! First come first served — once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
- Don't forget to also purchase a calendar so you can see your pug's photo! When you purchase a Reserve A Day option it ONLY includes the photo to be displayed on the given day, you must add a calendar purchase to your order separately.
- Each Reserve A Day is $20.

- The 2025 Pug Rescue of FL & GA Calendar will be revealed at PugFest on November 16, 2024, at Fire Maker Brewing in Atlanta, GA.
- Calendars will be mailed directly to you before the end of 2024.
- We will create a beautiful hanging calendar that measure 11”x10” folded (open to 11” Wide x 20” Tall). We will not be able to order extra calendars after this contest has ended so you MUST order now! Calendars make wonderful holiday gifts for all pug fans so order several for your friends, family, and co-workers.
