Rescue Story
Walle Grayson Hall

On May 15, 2024, we welcomed Walle into our family.

His rescue story begins with a telephone call from a person that knew we had pugs and cared for them well. He had been taking "care" of Walle for the past several years while his mother was in an assisted living facility. His mother passed away and he immediately wanted to get rid of Walle. His voicemail left me in tears because he wanted to dump him at a shelter or have him euthanized because he was a senior who was blind and deaf. Of course, we would not allow that, so we agreed to come get him right away. Upon picking him up, we quickly realized that he had not been bathed or taken to a vet in over 4 years. His nails were so overgrown that they were curled into the bottom of his pads. We drove him straight to the vet and after a full workup, he had a bad skin infection, double ear infections, and an upper respiratory issue going on. As upset as his voicemail left me, the only good thing that guy did was reach out to us.

Walle is the sweetest and most handsome senior. Now that his nails are trimmed, he is walking everywhere. He loves to explore and just do his thing. He has so much energy. We are so impressed with his ability to navigate the house so well. He doesn't let his disabilities get in his way. He is a very handi-capable pug.

Our family of four is now a family of five, joining us and our girls Sophie & Sadie. We are so thankful for Walle and so very happy that he is in his forever home to be loved and cherished every moment for the rest of his life.
