Rescue Story
First it was the name. Then it was his story: found wandering the streets of Orlando in the summer with back legs not properly working. But when we read he’d been in rescue for six months without a single application, we knew we had to be the ones. And when he locked himself in his foster mom’s car for the home visit, staring at his dad-to-be through the passenger side window while waiting for the locksmith, a bond was formed and he knew he was home.

Though we knew rescuing a senior with physical limitations meant our time with him was short, it was worth it. We squeezed a lifetime of love into only two and a half years with him and he returned the favor. He was our first PRFG rescue and proof that seniors have a lot to give. Run free, Uncle Fester!
