Bio
Howdy there! My name is Rockin’ Ruby Moon born and raised in Southern Arizona. I recently joined the Rockabilly Mafia Dolls and became the Prospect President of the Phoenix Chapter. I have big plans for our chapter to be involved in the community and have a great dolly time as well. The Phoenix Chapter has a few organizations dear to our hearts starting with Pin-Up Route 66 and the Ayden Rae Foundation. In August I begin training to become a mentor to a teen in the New Pathways for Youth program. We will be volunteering with Phoenix Rescue Mission and St. Mary’s Food Bank; we also have many others in mind for the year.

A look more into who I am as a woman; I am 34 years old, currently single and do not have any children. I recently accepted an offer for my dream job which took a lot of effort and struggle to attain. I started out my education attending Tucson College in their computer applications program. This program provided me with computer basics which landed me my first administrative assistant job. I did really well in that program and surprised myself because when I was in high school I viewed myself as not very bright and thought that college was never to be a part of my future. As a student at Cholla High School in Tucson, I remember being so embarrassed I couldn’t comprehend what my classmates where finding easy. I cried many times trying to do my homework because my brain just did not do what I wanted it to. Turns out, I was just a late bloomer. Learning became easier and I started to gain confidence in myself. I actually ended up getting my Master’s in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2013. I would have laughed in anybody’s face if then told my teen self that I would attain my MBA and land an amazing job. Now that I landed my dream job in Phoenix, AZ, I can allow myself to dream bigger…not just yet though; I’m going to enjoy this dream for a few years.

Some personal interests of mine besides being a sister to the Rockabilly Mafia Dolls are: hiking, camping, lakes, dancing, sewing, learning, church, adventures, and trying new things (especially food, I always say I’ll try anything twice). One of my goals over the next few years is to backpack through the Arizona Trail which goes from top to bottom of the Arizona borders. There are 43 Trails on the Arizona Trail adding up to 800 miles, so I need to make sure I am well prepared with the right gear. I started backpacking/hiking a couple years ago and fell in love. It is so peaceful to be away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

People in my life; I have some amazing ones, starting with my parents. My mom and I do just about everything together and she has always been there for me and never gave up hope. My parents always saw my potential and I sure have them to thank for helping me get to where I am today and where I am going. I have some amazing friends too; I like to surround myself with positive, fun, and caring people. Friends and acquaintances I have known in the past have let me know when I have inspired them to achieve their goals, I am always surprised to hear this yet it makes my heart melt. When I started to realize my actions were being watched by many I started improving my actions; dedicating myself to becoming a better person.

I can’t forget my two amazing dogs who always put a smile on my face, Baby my 4-year old German Shepard and my 11-month old Honey who is a German Shepard Mix. I adopted them both from Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Those beasts always follow me around everywhere; I couldn’t imagine not having their love.

My rockabilly and pinup interest started a few years back; I didn’t know it was such a current happening’ culture…and then I saw how big it is. I fell in love, with the style, the music, the people, the cars, the giving back to the community, and of course the tattoos. I have always been very expressive with my style so when I found Rockabilly I knew I needed to be a part of it. I have also developed a passion for volunteering and community several years back so becoming a Pinup Doll was a must. What a fun way to get involved in the community and give back. It has been a wonderful experience and I look forward to more years as a Pinup engaged in her community.

Please vote for me so I can continue to be an inspiration to people all over.
