A little about me...
My husband and I had lost our previous rescue Chi due to heart failure. I researched every possible Chihuahua Rescue with no luck. Then I saw Nancy on the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's website. We met Nancy and she was terrified. She didn't want us to touch her but we had a good feeling about her. So we officially applied and took her home. We just took things slow and at her pace. We felt that a name change was necessary. We changed her name to Lucy. She responded and has turned out to be the best little dog. She has been to Venice, Italy twice now and each time she gains more confidence. We love her! Thank you for letting us adopt her.
