A little about me...
I adopted Velcro 12 years ago as a tiny 10-week old kitten I could hold in the palm of my hand and gave him his name because he wasn't good at retracting his claws and stuck to everything. He still uses those claws to mix biscuits all the time, even on my bare legs. He grew into a lovable and highly social 19-pound ginger giant who met me at the door every night when I came home from work and was even willing to go out and meet the golden retrievers from down the hall, probably because he was half their size anyway. He was never far from me. He inserted himself between the keyboard and the computer when I was working at home. He loves to play fetch and will bring the ball up and drop it on your lap when he wants to play. He's a trooper, too, having undergone radiation treatment for hyperthyroidism and currently braving diabetes treatment, but he is still very affectionate. He's become quite a lap cat in his old age and begs to come up on my lap where he purrs and lives to have his ears and chin scratched non stop every time I sit down. Velcro has been an amazing companion for the past 12 years, and I'm looking forward to many more years with him.
