A little about me...
Nellie was adopted from AWLA in December 2019. She was stressed in the shelter environment and didn’t seem interested in me during our meet & greet but I had a gut feeling. I got us settled in the car and facetimed my boyfriend to show him our new dog. When I turned around to look at Nellie, there were tears running down her face. She’s been right by my side everyday since. Nellie has so much personality and becomes friends with everyone she meets. She’s so goofy and makes us smile everyday. I had no idea how difficult life would be the next few years, but I know I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her. The impact of a dog’s love cannot be overstated.
