Phoenix Animal Rescue is excited to announce our 1st Annual Pet Photo Calendar Contest!
Would you love to see your pet’s adorable face on the cover of our calendar? Show us your favorite photo of your best pet, and not only will you be raising money for homeless animals in need in our community, but you will have the chance to win some cool prizes for yourself and have your pet featured in our 2025 calendar (PAR's very first calendar!!)!
Contest entry is complementary and each vote is $1 (must purchase a minimum of 5 votes). Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of homeless pets. Once you submit your entry, you can share it with your family and friends and encourage them to vote! The contest will run from 4:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, March 15, 2024 to 8:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet
Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

- The top 12 entries & a judge’s choice pet will win a professional photo session with SKRS Photography that will be scheduled on specific dates in May at the studio located in Glenmoore, PA, a mile north of the rescue. If you are unable to commit to a photo session at that location and during the dates & times offered, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar. No exceptions. The 13-top vote-getters will also receive a Discovery Call with SKRS Photography to learn more about them and their personality, and discuss the session for the calendar.
- The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar. The remaining 11 entries with the most votes will be featured as a pet of the month. ALL entries will be featured in a photo collage on the back of the calendar.
- One entry will be selected for a Judge's Choice Award. A panel of judges will pick the photo with the most personality and give that dog a spot in the calendar, regardless of the number of votes it gets.
- SKRS Photography will choose the best images from each shoot and their corresponding months. All winners will have the opportunity to purchase photo products following their session if desired.
- The dog receiving the highest number of new votes each week during the course of the six-week contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating local businesses.

PAR is launching our 1st annual calendar contest that will run March 15 through April 28, 2024. There are three ways you can participate:
- Enter the contest! Submit your favorite picture of your pet(s) for a chance to have your pet featured in the calendar! Check out more details below.
- Vote for your favorite pets! Each vote = $1 and the proceeds fund the PAR’s critical work to help animals in our community. Check out more details below.
- Purchase a 2025 calendar! Whether your pet makes the pages of the calendar, all proceeds go directly to PAR and the work they do for the animals. Check out more details below.
Submissions open at 4:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, March 15, 2024 and close at 8:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
Entries may include animals that have passed away; however, to be eligible for the top 13 spots, animals must be still living and available to be photographed on specific dates in May at SKRS Photography studio.
Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from PAR or any other shelter, to be eligible to enter the contest. Photos are to be of pets ONLY; people are not allowed in the photo. Only one pet per photo please. All animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner. PAR reserves the right to remove any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos. All photo submissions must be digital and submitted through the contest platform.
Voting begins as soon as you submit a photo. Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. You must purchase a minimum of five votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5. You may vote for your own photo. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered. Winners will be announced on the PAR’s social media channels following the contest. The winners will be contacted by phone then alternatively email the following week.
Through your support and participation in events like our annual photo calendar contest, we can continue to go above and beyond for the animals at the rescue as we care for them until they find their furever homes.
