Miu is a rescued homing pigeon, adopted from Palomacy. Homing pigeons are often used for "dove releases", but the ones that don't make it home have very low chances of survival in the wild. Domestic pigeons make wonderful pets - Miu is friendly, affectionate, and loves going outside with me. She sits in my hand when we go on walks and charms everyone she meets!
