We adopted Zelda when she was about a year old. The first week we had her, when I wasn't sure if she had been house trained, I had to confine her briefly in a bathroom (with her bed, toys, food, water...) and she tore three feet off our bathroom doorframe - and she weighs only about 16 pounds! But now, three years later, she's totally decided our house is her home, and my son is her best friend.
Our little girl loves pinecones and tennis balls. When she goes for a walk, even though we leave home without one, she's a dog on a mission until she finds one. And once she does, she won't put it down, even for a treat!
She also loves veggies; she'll do tricks for cucumber slices or bell pepper strips, but her clear fave is carrots.
