Maggie Moo is the ultimate "mama dog." She clearly raised several litters of puppies before she showed up as a stray at Oakland Animal Services. Since I am a mama with human puppies of my own, I was delighted to find a kindred spirit whose motherly tolerance extended across the species line. Maggie Moo is the epitome of gentle patience when it comes to rowdy children and her mellow attitude reminds me to breathe through my own difficult mothering moments.
