"Freddie Astaire" turned up at our farm in southern Virginia in May, 2021. At the time, there were three other NECR foster dogs awaiting their forever homes in our home, including puppy Buckaroo. Freddie bonded closely with Buckaroo and took on the roll of Bucky's big brother and playmate. Freddie loves to be carried and will wrap his paws around our necks to give us hugs. In the end, we asked NECR if we could adopt both Freddie and Buckaroo. They are an entertaining pair and have "I-Scream" time every night, in which they run around the yard, screaming at one another! Freddie, however, prefers to sleep in each morning and does not get out of bed until breakfast is ready. When it is cold, he steals the heating pad!
