Get to Know the Pets and Heroes
Baby Stella, a 1-year-old Silkie Chicken, was found roaming in the Lahaina burn zone on August 11, 2023. She was rushed to Maui Humane Society for immediate veterinary care, and later was placed into a foster home. Her foster family quickly fell in love with the fluffy-footed girl, and they chose to adopt her! She and her best chicken friend, Mia, will show up in record time when their favorite treats, mealworms, are offered. Baby Stella loves to be told she is a beautiful girl… she tilts her head to one side and clucks in agreement!

Lee is a Firefighter II from the Kahului station on Rescue 10. He grew up with Guinea Pigs, rabbits, and cats. Lee has served the department for nearly 10 years and loves giving back to the community that raised him.
