Get to Know the Pets and Heroes
Seymour is a 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who was adopted from Maui Humane Society in early 2024. According to his 3-year-old human sister, he is “naughty” when he steals shoes and brings them to his bed. Seymour is the boss of everybody and everything, his family simply does as he says.

Buddy, a 1-year-old Border Terrier mix, found his forever home after being adopted from Maui Humane Society. Known for his obsession with licking (a common behavior of Border Terriers), Buddy doubles as the household's unofficial loofah. He is inseparable from his best friend Seymour, acting as his loyal wingman wherever they go.

Matt is a firefighter from the Lahaina station on Engine 3. He has a Pointer/Heeler mix named Ona and a Pit Bull named Honey, who he considers to be his best friends. His favorite part about his job as a firefighter is helping both the people and the animals of Maui.

Carter is a firefighter from the Wailea station on Engine 14. He has a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix named Umi and a Shih Tzu named Maggie, and he loves Pit Bulls. Carter’s favorite part about being a firefighter is helping his community. When Carter is off the clock, he plays ukulele for his band, Fo Shua.
