Meepa, also known as Meeps or Meatball, is a resilient 7-month-old puppy rescued from Honokōwai Beach Park. She was brought to Maui Humane Society and found to have a deep cut across her chest, in addition to being malnourished and covered in fleas. Despite her rough start, she quickly won over her foster family with her cuddly nature and intelligence. She was since adopted by her foster parents, and she now spends her days sprinting in the backyard, hanging with the resident cat, and taking naps with all paws in the air.

Bubba is a firefighter from the Napili station on Engine 11. He grew up with many animals (his favorite being a senior Golden Retriever named Maggie), and he loves the loyalty dogs have for their people. Born and raised in Lahaina, Bubba takes pride in caring for his community as a firefighter and being a friendly, familiar face for those who need help.
