Get to Know the Pets and Heroes
Rooney, named after the owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is a lively 1-year-old mix of Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and German Shepherd. Her family rehomed her from a litter of puppies who were evacuated from the Lahaina wildfires of 2023. Rooney brings her family so much joy, and has a true talent for cuddling!

Bryce is a lifeguard at Honokohau Bay in Lahaina. He and his wife are pet parents to one senior dog, three cats, two ducks, and one chicken. Bryce was raised in Lahaina, graduated from Lahainaluna High School, and has served his community as a lifeguard for six years.
