Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue (MABBR), a foster home network maintained entirely by volunteers, has been helping Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Educate over 700 Dogs and Families since we began in 2003. With hard work, dedication and charitable donations, we believe MABBR will continue to have a tremendous impact on bully breed dogs in the Midwest.
MABBR volunteers rescue the dogs in our program directly from high kill shelters in the Midwest. All the dogs in our program are temperament tested and then evaluated daily until they find their new home.
Our foster homes socialize the Adopt-a-bulls with other dogs, children and adults, playing a big part in our success by showing the dogs unconditional love, a welcoming home, and countless hours to ensure they are stable and well-mannered pets.
MABBR's Foster Home Program makes sure the families that live with our Adopt-a-bulls have a say in where the dogs end up. They live with these dogs everyday and have a sound idea of how they will fit in to a new family. As responsible bully owners and rescuers, it is our duty to make sure the dogs in our program are good breed ambassadors.
We operate completely off volunteer work and charitable donations. This Calendar and Photo Contest are new efforts on our part to keep the doors open and help more Pitt-Bull type dogs get out of shelters and into Furever Homes!
