The dog with the most votes will be crowned “Top Dog Memphis” for 2024.

The winning dog will be prominently featured on the front label of a special beer brewed by Grind City Brewing Company. The dog owner will have the opportunity to help customize the beer and name it (subject to approval by Grind City Brewing Co. and regulatory agencies).

The top dog winner may be asked to attend promotional events and be available for interviews by the news media.

The dog with the second highest number of votes will be deemed the “Top Dog Memphis Runner Up” for 2024.

The second place dog will receive a custom portrait of themselves by a local artist. Please note that the time to complete the artwork once the second place dog is awarded will depend on the schedule of the artist.

In the event that the first place dog is unable or unwilling to fulfill all of the roles and responsibilities of being Top Dog Memphis, the second place dog will assume that title and receive all of the benefits described above.

The dog with the third highest number of votes will be deemed the “Third Top Dog Memphis” for 2024.

The third place dog will receive a $100 gift certificate to a local pet shop for food and fun stuff.

The dogs with the fourth through tenth highest number of votes will be deemed “still a Top Dog” and will receive a $50 gift certificate for treats, toys and fun from a local pet store.

The Top Dog Memphis Contest is open to any dog (and their owner). The owner must be 21-years-old or older to enter their dog in the "Top Dog Memphis" for 2024 contest.

Submit a photo of your dog. Provide a few short sentences why your dog is worthy of Top Dog Memphis. Photos should be digital and sharp enough to look good on the internet. Please no photos of people, just your dog. Your photo may include other dogs but no people please. Just be sure to clearly identify which dog in the photo is the contestant). Photos should be in focus to show off your dog's best self.

There is a $10 fee to enter your dog, but you automatically receive 10 votes when you enter your dog! If you have multiple dogs, you will need to take separate photos of each and enter them separately. The $10 posting fee applies to each dog you enter.

Dog owners are encouraged to have their friends, relatives, and co-workers go to the contest website to vote for their dog.

Votes cost $1.00 each with no maximum on how many votes a person can buy. For example, you can give 100 votes to your favorite dog by donating $100 in a single transaction via the website. Come back to the site as many times as you want and donate votes as often as you'd like!

Dog owners and their friends may buy an unlimited number of votes.

The Top Dog Memphis Contest will officially launch at 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 and end at 8:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Friday, March 22, 2024. The winner will be announced March 23^rd, National Puppy Day.

There will be a special "Top Dog Memphis" party at Grind City Brewery, outdoors, during the spring! Exact date and time to be determined. It will be a fun event with bands, food, beverages (of course) and lots of great stuff for dogs and owners alike. All the dogs (and their owners) from Memphis are invited to share in the celebration of Top Dog Memphis!

The dogs with the fourth through tenth highest number of votes will be deemed "still a Top Dog" and will receive a $50 gift certificate for treats, toys and fun from a local pet store.


All entries will be made on-line by visiting the contest website. Follow the directions for entering dogs in the contest and voting. Contest payments may be made online through a secure site.

There is a $10 fee to enter your dog, which automatically gives your dog 10 votes.

Additional votes cost $1 each. An unlimited number of votes can be purchased.

We encourage you to share your contest page link with family and friends through email and social media to encourage them to vote for your dog. Remember, the more votes the closer you are to being the Top Dog!

All donations for votes are non-refundable and not tax deductible (there was a vote in exchange for the donation). Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page.

Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (US mail, in-person or by other means) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest. We still welcome donations to the Kiwanis Club of Memphis to help the children of the Mid-South.

The Kiwanis Club of Memphis will attempt to notify the top three vote-getters via telephone or email during the week of March 25, 2024.

If the winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the date of the first attempt and after multiple attempts thereafter, the Sponsor may select the next highest vote-getter as the Top Dog.

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant's agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules.

The Main Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive or offensive manner.

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Kiwanis Club of Memphis, all other Sponsors, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize(s).
