Photo Entry Rules
- Photos of domestic dogs and cats are allowed (no people or wildlife please).
- Winning pets are based on votes by donation.
- The featured animal does not have to be adopted from Joybound People & Pets.
- Entries may only feature one animal.
- Photos deemed unsafe, indecent, offensive, or obscene will be removed from the contest.
- All entries must be submitted by 8:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
- All photos submitted become the property of Joybound People & Pets, which may, at its discretion, copy, edit, publish, or modify entries for use in any and all media, without limitation or compensation to the photographer or the individuals and animals appearing in the photo. The submitter of the photos does not relinquish rights to use the photos.
- Mail-in submissions cannot be considered for contest.
- The featured animal may be a pet who has passed away. Please note that if your submission is selected as the winner, you will need to provide a high-resolution photo (300 dpi at 11" x 8.5") to be transformed into the custom portrait.
Donation Vote Rules
- To vote online, click on the participate tab above. The online voting period will end at 8:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
- Each $5 donation counts as five votes. You may place all votes on one entry or divide them among multiple entries.
- All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
- All donations (votes) are non-refundable.
- Joybound People & Pets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please save your donation acknowledgment email for your tax files.
Prize Restrictions/Term Limits
- Honorary Board of Fur-rector: This prestigious title is awarded as a special recognition. It does not involve formal responsibilities, decision-making duties, voting power, or any other typical functions of a human member of our Board of Directors. Board of Fur-rectors term limits extend for one year.
- Winners must pick up their items from Joybound People & Pets within 30 days of notification.
