Welcome to the Irvine Animal Care Center 2024 Photo Fundraiser!
Each year, this event raises funds for the center's Enhanced Care, Foster Care, and Third Chance for Pets programs.
It's easy to participate! Submit a favorite photo of your pet, and then get your family and friends to vote for your pet's picture.
Each entrant will receive a free 2025 Irvine Animal Care Center wall calendar.
In addition, 13 winners (the top five Dogs, top five Cats, and top three Other Animals) will have their pet featured on a full-page monthly spread of the 2025 Irvine Animal Care Center wall calendar. Visit the
prizes page for details. All eligible photos with a minimum of five votes by the end of the contest will be guaranteed inclusion in the 2025 calendar, either in the collage pages or as insets within the calendar. Votes are $1 each!
Photo submissions and votes require a minimum tax-deductible donation to support the animals and programs at the center. Please click on

Note that photos must be submitted in landscape (horizontal) format and be high resolution to be eligible for the contest.

Please consider pre-ordering. This will help us purchase the right number of calendars — enough to make sure we have you covered but not so many that we waste valuable funds on excess stock

- 13 winners will have their pet featured as a “Pet of the Month” spread in the 2025 Irvine Animal Care Center wall calendar.
- This will be the top five pets with the highest votes in the Dogs category, the top five pets with the highest votes in the Cats category, and the top three pets with the highest votes in the Other Animals category at the conclusion of the event. After the 13 Pets of the Month, the next 10 pets with top overall votes will be featured as an honorable mention.
- Each pet can only be featured as a “Pet of the Month” or honorable mention once.
- All eligible photos with a minimum of five votes by the end of the contest will be guaranteed inclusion in the 2025 Irvine Animal Care Center wall calendar, either in the collage pages or as insets within the calendar.
- Each photo submission will receive a single free calendar.
- Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
The Irvine Animal Care Center provides top-tier care to animals in need. Caring staff, dedicated volunteers, and donor support make it possible for the center to provide the highest levels of service to our community of people and pets. Creating successful matches enriches the lives of adopters and animals alike. Proceeds from the Photo Fundraiser support three exceptional programs:
Enhanced Care
The center sometimes receives animals that have been injured, neglected, or need additional medical treatment. The Enhanced Care program funds the procedures these animals require to become healthy and adoptable. Enhanced Care has included heart surgeries, eye surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, dental surgeries, advanced dermatology treatments, disease treatments, neurological consults, emergency hernia surgery, detox treatment for animals exposed to illicit drugs, and recovery for victims of animal cruelty.
Foster Care
The Foster care program provides comprehensive, loving, home-based care to animals in need. These may be animals under 8 weeks of age that need around-the-clock care, or animals that are recovering from medical procedures funded by our Enhanced Care program, or even animals that need a little behavior help before being adopted into their forever home. Donations allow the center to provide training, supplies, food, and equipment to the foster volunteers, so they have everything needed to help these animals get ready for their forever homes.
Third Chance for Pets
Animals are transferred from overcrowded shelters to the center, where they are more likely to be adopted. Because these animals come from outside of the City of Irvine, their care is partially funded by donations. Since the program's inception, the center has accepted almost 14,000 animals into the Third Chance for Pets program.
These three special programs lead to shorter lengths of stay at the center, increased adoptions, and better animal welfare. The Irvine Animal Care Center staff and volunteers thank you for your support!

- Photo Requirements
- Be landscape (horizontal) format.
- Acceptable photo formats: .jpg, .bmp, .png, and .tif.
- Be in color.
- Be high resolution (300 dpi minimum).
- Photos may contain one or more domestic pets (no people or wildlife).
- Professional commissioned photos are not permitted.
- Photos may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments).
- Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.
- All photos are reviewed prior to being available for voting on the website.
- Donation fee of $25 per photo.
- All eligible photos with a minimum of five votes by the end of the contest will be guaranteed inclusion in the 2025 Irvine Animal Care Center wall calendar, either in the collage pages or as insets within the calendar. Votes are $1 each.
- You may submit as many photo entries as you like.
- All proceeds go toward the Irvine Animal Care Center's Enhanced Care, Foster Care, and Third Chance for Pets programs.
All photos become the property of the Irvine Animal Care Center.Voting
- Once a photo is approved, it will appear in the online gallery on Irvine Animal Care Center's Photo Fundraiser website and be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each, with a minimum $5 donation for five votes.
- All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
- To vote online, click on the Participate tab above. Donate a minimum of $5 for five votes. Those votes can then be cast for any submitted photo in one-vote increments. Voters do not have to use all of the votes at the time of donation. When voters donate, they will be given the option of applying all of the votes to one photo, spreading their votes over various photos, or storing votes in their account. If a voter chooses to store their votes, the voter can log into their account using their ID and password and vote at a later time. All votes must be applied to selected photos by the conclusion of the voting period to be counted. Votes cannot be applied to future contests. The online voting period will end at 10:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
- Ending time for the Photo Fundraiser will be determined by the host website's server and will show prominently on the Photo Fundraiser website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser.
- All votes are donations to the Irvine Animal Care Center and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law.
- All donors will receive receipts for their contributions.
- Votes and entry fees are non-refundable.
- Winners will be announced on the Irvine Animal Care Center's website event page in early September.
- Ending time for the Photo Fundraiser will be determined by the host website's server and will show prominently on the Photo Fundraiser website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser.
