Your pet is magical - and we want to help you showcase their "furry tail" story! Enter Helen Woodward Animal Center's 2025 Furry Tails Pet Photo Contest and portray your pet as the purrince charming or furry princess they truly are while raising funds to support the pets and programs at Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Each entry supports the pets and programs at Helen Woodward Animal Center. For 50 years, the Center has been committed to the philosophy of “people helping animals and animals helping people”. Our goal is not only to save the lives of orphan pets but to also provide valuable community services that strengthen the animal-human bond through education and training. We do this through our many programs like Therapeutic Riding for children and adults with special needs, AniMeals pet food delivery for seniors and other home-bound individuals, Pet Encounter Therapy which brings the comfort, unconditional love, and tactile benefits of animals to individuals in settings such as nursing facilities, hospitals, and shelters and Pets Without Walls which is dedicated to helping the pets of unhoused individuals and low-income seniors. These programs are just some of the vital community services that we offer to animals and people in need. Your entry can make a difference!

To enter: The entry fee is $25, and a minimum of 5 votes (equivalent to a $5 donation) is necessary for your entry to appear in the calendar. All additional votes are $1 each.
All entrants will receive a 2025 Furry Tails Calendar.
The pet with the most votes by the end of Helen Woodward Animal Center's 2025 Furry Tails Pet Photo Contest will be awarded the following prizes:
- A photoshoot of your furry friend for their full-page feature in Helen Woodward Animal Center’s 2025 Furry Tails Calendar
- A guest seat at the 2025 Surf Dog Costume Contest Judge’s Panel
- 2 Silver tickets to the 2025 Spring Fling Gala (value $500)
- One night stay in a double occupancy Deluxe Room at Sycuan Casino and Resort and complimentary lunch or dinner at one of the resort's participating restaurants.
- 2 additional copies of Helen Woodward Animal Center's 2025 Furry Tails Calendar
1st place and 2nd place runner-ups will be awarded prizes. The top 12 pets with the most votes will also have a full-page feature in the 2025 Helen Woodward Animal Center calendar.
Entries with at least 5 votes will appear in photo montage squares throughout the calendar.
